With over twenty-four years of practice in diverse settings, you will find that at the heart of David Spence-Madden, is a confidential and innovative therapist driven by the need to provide an environment with boundaries that allow clients to safely unravel, explore their thoughts and emotions, challenge themselves and find restoration.  In his balanced therapeutic approach, David accompanies his clients on a journey destined for the discovery of their emotional value and potential.

Prior to becoming a professional counsellor, David discovered his love for people and helping others to solve their problems.  This led David to pursue counselling professionally where he went on to develop enthusiasm for the emotional growth of young people, couples, one-to-one relationships as well as family and group therapy.

David is recognised professional empathy as well as his expertise in the construction of compassionate relationships.

With a sound theoretical approach to the therapeutic relationship a Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), David’s richly varied experiences have a positive impact on the lives of individuals, families and groups.

Q How confidential will our work be? Do you work with wit people of different cultural background.

I am a culturally skill therapist who works with people from diverse cultures ages, genders, and sexual orientations. In our face-to-face work confidentiality will be maintained except when safeguarding issues compromise the therapeutic relationship. However, there are limits to confidentiality if our work is online and as a result, it cannot be guaranteed.
